SETTING THE SCENE:
--------------------------------

Filming for Pandemonium Z, more commonly known as “Demon Z”, began in 1978. However, due to constant malfunctions with the audio-visual equipment, filming wouldn't finish until six years later in 1984. Many believed these malfunctions were caused by the persistent paranormal activity experienced by the actors and crew on set.

The score had to be rewritten multiple times and wouldn't be finished until early 1985, giving it a unique blend of two sonically characteristic decades. With the film massively over budget, it would finally see release in the summer of 1986. The film was met with heavy criticism due to its gratuitous portrayal of graphic violence, and saw very little success from its limited screenings across drive-in theatres that summer. It was ultimately considered a catastrophic failure.

Many people have gone on record to state that they too experienced unexplainable paranormal activity after having seen the film, leading to numerous out-of-court settlements with attendees of the screenings. In the end, this bankrupted the film studio entirely.

All copies of the film were destroyed following a worldwide ban... However, some copies of the soundtrack survived.

Although battered through the ages, here is one of those copies.

The score maintained an almost entirely consistent tempo of 160 BPM throughout the film, with a handful of exceptions. This was to underline the relentless, never-ending threat of the zombie hordes.

A BRIEF SYNOPSIS:
-----------------------------

The year was 1977 and the small, sleepy town of Hazel Hills marked the setting for the rise of the demon zombie… Father Romero, the oddball town priest, just can't resist the temptation of contacting the dark side after suffering both the loss of his wife, as well as his mind.

Holding occult rituals from below the town's church, he invokes the 13th curse of Demon Z. The Demon Zombie turns the dead into the living, who then possess the sole aim of turning the living into the dead. The only way to restore any hope for the survival of civilization is to capture and forever banish Demon Z to the innermost circle of hell.

TL;DR & WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?? WHAT EVEN IS THIS??
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's a fake soundtrack to an imaginary horror film.

- The intent: Being both an album/film score, and a sample library.

- It includes: The full compositions, the stems, and a small batch of extra samples.- It is entirely royalty free and safe to use in your own compositions.

- The main genres its intended for are the darker side of old school Jungle, Hardcore & Drum & Bass, but obviously can be used in any genre you see fit. From Hip Hop to Techno, and anywhere in between and beyond, the choice is yours of course!

- The full compositions have extra layers of processing, while the stems do not. The stems are a bit cleaner (still with plenty vibe and character though), leaving those much more malleable to suit your needs.

- The breaks and vocals used in the DEMO SONG are NOT included in this pack. However, the breaks are from the Jungle Warfare sample CD series, so most of you have them already... And if not, they're easy enough to find :)

- Everything else heard in the DEMO SONG is included.

- The DEMO SONG is intended to demonstrate how some of the sounds and samples sound within the context of Jungle & Hardcore, not to be a fully finished song.

ALL STEMS AND SAMPLES ARE UPLOADED AS BONUS TRACKS SO WON'T APPEAR UNTIL DOWNLOADED!

LIBRARY DETAILS:
--------------------------

Big thanks for any and all support! This was a super fun project to work on, and I have a few more concepts and styles in mind for the series, which I'll hopefully get round to in the not too distant future. Respect!
